Mommy Stories 

    30 was going to be absolutely amazing. I was finished having babies and it was time for me to get my groove back! I had a 3 year old and a 1 year old and I was just getting this thing called “mom life” under control.
     Then boom, the pandemic hit and everyone’s life was flipped upside down. We were all at home for more hours than one could imagine (before COVID). Finding things to do with two littles was getting harder and harder. However, I loved every minute of it. I loved spending time with my girls doing all of the most random things. I sometimes thank God for that time because I think it was his secret gift to me!
     In May of 2020, I was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer. Life would quickly turn into a whirlwind of appointments and treatments that would last until February 2021. In that time, I went through 5 months of Chemotherapy, a double mastectomy surgery, and 4 weeks of radiation.
    I was so motivated to not only beat cancer but to live fully while doing it. I kept praying and saying “God, I just want to be a good mom. Please allow me to stay here with my babies so that I can break this curse !” Growing up without my mother, I always said that I would be different! This was my chance and I couldn’t let Cancer steal that from me.
    Treatments made me weak, they made me sick; my babies made me strong and they kept me going. I must admit that I don’t remember too much about my baby’s milestones during that time and I missed some big moments. My husband and mother stepped in to fill the gaps and I am forever grateful to them. Being a mom is already the most difficult task. Being a mom of two toddlers while undergoing Breast Cancer treatment during a pandemic was a beast (kinda like that sentence).
     Remember how I asked God to allow me to be there for my babies? Well God had bigger and better plans. Just three Months out from Chemotherapy I was pregnant with our miracle baby boy. I’m now the mom of 3 adorable little humans. Phoenix is 6 and the best little gymnasts. Zara is 3 and loves to dance. Zion is 1 and loves being outdoors!
